8/26 - While the cat's away...

 ...the mice will play! 

Or in this case the carpets will be cleaned! Another thing dad wanted to get done before his surgery was to clean the carpets. Since he only had so much time and could only do so much, it did not get done before he went in. So this was taken care of by a friend, and a very tired Marion who let the carpet cleaners in at 8:30 this morning after flying ALL day yesterday and getting to dad's after 1:00 this morning.

       

Now he really is all set for people to come visit once he gets home. Lots of space for entertaining! Start planning your schedules accordingly! Dad had another good day today. They removed most of his ports today, he still has 2 in (one in each arm). He said taking them out was not fun, but he's glad they are out. 

He had meatloaf and mashed potatoes for dinner (lucky guy!) with a fruit cup for dessert. Marion went to visit him today, she said the nurses are really sweet. Dad showed her the "contraband" treats from the hotel that he snuck into the hospital. 😂  He is still in the ICU waiting for a bed in the general population (I think they like him so much they want to keep him in there 'cuz he's fun!)
