The best laid plans...
Well, we are nothing if not flexible!
Dad got a call from the hospital today letting him know they were going to have to cancel his surgery tomorrow and reschedule it for another day. There was someone in ICU that needed more immediate care. The good news, as his doctor pointed out, is that dad is healthy enough to wait. They should hopefully be letting him know sometime tomorrow when his surgery will be rescheduled.
At this point we are in a holding pattern until they reschedule the surgery. Marion is still planning to come on the 25th, which is good since Toby's vacation was this week and he will be back at work next week. They do need to give dad at least 2 days notice since there are some medications he needs to stop taking before the surgery. Stay tuned for more updates.
The call came today while the cleaners were there. It was a busy time on the Ol' Ranch at 518 English Neighborhood Road. The cleaners were cleaning, Toby was moving things upstairs, and dad was upstairs organizing the things Toby was bringing up. They did an amazing job, can't tell from the pictures if there is "sparkle" or not, but it sure looks nice and bright and roomy.
