9/1 - Update and visits

Well, dad is being a good patient and making good use of Marion's visit.

They went to church on Sunday morning. Everyone was surprised, but very happy to see him. They asked if he had already had his surgery or if it had been postponed again. In typical dad fashion he said "Oh, they postponed it again" with a grin a mile wide on his face!! I told him he's going to "hell-in-a-hand-basket" for fibbing in church!!! (pardon my french 😉).

The rest of Sunday was spent at home. Marion and Toby did a dump run. Then in the afternoon Auntie Jeanne and Jimmy stopped in for a visit. Jimmy offered to take dad to one of his follow up doctor appointments after Marion leaves (Thank you Jimmy!! 💕). 

Monday was another lay-low day at home. Jesse and Gracie (the dog) came up for a visit after school. They and Marion took a walk down to Pond Factory while Dad stayed at home and visited with Annie. They played a few rounds of U-dog. 

  

Mariana (Jesse's wife) got there after work they all had a lovely ham & bean soup that Marion made for dinner. Annie brought some chili to put in dad's freezer for a meal another day, and some banana chocolate muffins.

Tuesday evening they went to Jesse and Mariana's for dinner. Dad tested out the comfort of their couch for them while dinner was cooking (apparently, it is very comfy!).

Also, just so you know, dad does clear all the pictures posted on here, he's a good sport!!

That is all the news I have for now. Not too much excitement, which at this point is the way we like it. 

Just a reminder, we are trying to keep the calendar updated at least with Dr. appointments and if people sign up for visits. However, please try to check it regularly as it may change. Also, while Marion is there they have been doing some errands and visits of their own so it might be good to check with dad before going to make sure he is home.
