a check in update 9/17

As you all know by now, dad is back home again and Auntie Jeanne is there as well ("slapping him with both hands when he needs it" 😆), they are both doing well. Dad slept about 11 hours the first night home, helped greatly by the fact that his new CPAP machine was ready and waiting for him when he got home. He is sleeping much better now (he hadn't been able to use the old CPAP machine since the surgery).

Parentlea Farm is getting ready for winter as you can see. 2 cords of wood were delivered yesterday (along with some he already had that is waiting to be split) and oil was delivered today. He'll be toasty this winter!

The nurse came this morning to check his vitals, all is well on that front (whew!) His next doctor's appointment is next Wednesday in Worcester, hopefully he'll get to visit mom at the same time. His cardiac rehab (3 days a week where they will address diet, stress and exercise) is scheduled to start on Oct. 14th at Day Kimball. Dad's hope is that by then he will be cleared to drive again and will be able to drive himself to these appointments.

Dad's social life is back on track, a friend stopped by today and brought him some apple sauce and a couple of friends have scheduled to stop by tomorrow for visits and games.

That's all the news for now, hopefully, things will continue to be nice and mellow with no more surprise visits to the ER!

Love you all!

Becky
